Professor Steven Suib Delivers Plenary Lecture at the University of Illinois

SuibSteven_gems_wBoard of Trustees Distinguished Professor and IMS Director Dr. Steven Suib delivered an invited lecture at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign on April 9th. The talk, titled, “Novel Porous Metal Oxides and Sulfides and Their Applications in Adsorption, Batteries, and Catalysis” was presented as part of the inaugural Sheldon Shore Chemistry Colloquium.

Professor Suib earned a B.S. degree in chemistry and geology at the State University College of New York at Fredonia. He then went on to complete his graduate work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under Galen D. Stucky and postdoctoral work at Illinois with Larry R. Faulkner before joining the University of Connecticut Department of Chemistry in 1980.
